How did you mount that light bar mount on the license plate on your 96?

New member here checking. So glad to be back in a reg cab K1500. Previously owned an 86 I wish I’d never parted with.

Found this beauty about two hours away from me in Jackson, GA on Autotrader and decided I couldnt Wait any longer. Wife is happy to have a bench seat to scoot up next to me on again.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your truck, it is very nice. These are maybe the best tucks GM ever built. My 97 has 245,000 miles, and runs grate. I met up with a guy at the gas station this after noon who has a truck like mine ( extended cab, 5,7L Vortec) and He had 325,000 miles on His. I have seen these trucks with 400,000 miles, and more. There is a guy with a 94 on Chevy talk forum with a 94 5.7L with well over 500,000 miles.

Thank you! Yes I’m glad to be back in an old Chevy. I’ve always lusted after one exactly like mine and I was Thrilled to get the chance to buy one.

Getting ready to rebuild the front end at some point in the coming months and I’m hoping to lean quite a bit on the knowledgeable members here to guide me through the trouble spots.

This is a great forum and I’m just lucky to have found it.

You are in the rite place for sure. There is more knowledge about these trucks here, than anywhere IMO, and a lot of good help to walk your through your repairs.
