Power Tour is a good time! This year's routing has been great. No complaints with the truck at all. It's been a trooper. The suspension has been great, even in Mississippi's I-20 "off-road" like sections

I just saw something on Facebook that said multiple vehicles were stolen from a Hotel at a HRPT stop, glad to see yours wasn't one of them!

Yeah.. there were 5 stolen, one was a OBS. It was overnight in Charlotte. I HATE thieves.

Today's stop in Fort Wayne was a wash.. literally

Truck reached a milestone on the route between Indy & Fort Wayne:

Ran into a couple problems, including a drivers side brake light that worked only when I was testing it

Found a loose pin on the multifunction switch harness under the column and ran a jumper wire.

Another issue is the infamous rear brake moan. Popped the brake drum off in Kentucky, adjusted the pads back. It was great until I started using the brakes again

I see rear disc's in the truck's future

Off to the final stop in Norwalk, OH tomorrow. Then the 2300+ miles back to California starts tomorrow night

That’s a wrap! 6,603 total miles on my HRPT 2019 adventure. San Diego to Charlotte. Long Haul to Norwalk and back home to San Diego. Truck did great!

Awesome thread and posts. Thanks for sharing all of this. I would be interested to know what you would/will change after putting that many miles on it.

Other than fixing the noted problems, nothing.

I made it a point to add all the creature comforts and upgrade systems as I went. They made the trip easy.

I would like to put a LS or new LT motor in it at some point, but living in California makes that a little tricky. I also have other projects that have been on the back burner while I played with the truck.
