What size tires have you run on your bagged stepside c1500? Im almost done with my air ride installation, and i need to order some tires next. Right now the wheels have 275/60/15 tires, and it seems the rears are a bit too wide, they rub the fiberglass wheel wells on the bed panels. I have already trimmed that small inner lip for clearance. I dont have the panels permanently bolted on, so when lay it all the way down, the tires push the panels out almost .75" on both sides. Ill attach a photo below.

What size tires have you stepside guys used with the 454 wheels, to allow proper clearance? Thanks in advance guys!

Every project varies some depending on your mods, cuts, wheel back spacing, wheel width etc... Even the wheel you show has at two variances i believe (7" & 8") a ton of variables. Best thing is get to measuring. Get your exact wheel well dims with respect to the wheel mount flange. Get your back spacing and width then layer in tire sizes. I used excel for crude dimension drawings and various tire sizes to see what hits and where.

Why not try a tire that’s not as wide on the wheel? Maybe a 245 or 255/60/15? 275 are pretty wide on theat 7 inch wheel.

Your truck is my inspiration!!! Love the look you have going on there.
As other's have mentioned you will have to go to a narrower tires. My friend is running a 255 with no issues layed out.
