Has any one been able to get ride of the blue/teal tinge on the Cluster of a Denali/Escalade? I just installed one and forgot that they had a blue tinge to them at night. I prefer the factory white on the stock gauge. I doubt changing the bulb is going to do anything to change it to white. I put all new regular bulbs in it. Just wondering if anyone else has been successsful. These gauge are hard to find in Canada so I don't want to risk wrecking it.

I believe the tint is in the overlay not colored bulbs.
I know the color for the radio clock/display is a colored film on the lens that can be removed with rubbing alcohol, maybe it's the same type of tint on the gauge face overlay?

I’m not sure that is easily changed. You’ll have to find a junk cluster and test out sanding options. Odd..most people like the blue tint.

The little bulbs in the cluster are covered with a teal rubber cover that can be removed. Then the light will be kind of pail yellow. Not a bright white. A lot of people do a LED swap. There should be a thread on here about that IDK just where though. I do know it is not just plug and play. Also I dont remember what the number the OE bulds are, but they are very small. Its not something you can just walk into Autozone and buy.

I was considering doing an LED swap but going to see first if the blue can grow on me first. Not going to try and sand it off. Was hoping maybe there was a film the would just peel off from the inside.

Its a rubber glove type cover that can just be pulled off. There is no need to sand anything off. I did mine some time back. Thing is, they are also on your AC controls, the power window and lock controls,ECT.

I’ve not seen the covers on the main gauge cluster illiumimation bulbs..only on smaller bulbs through the Gmt400 spots.

Is the Denali cluster different than the Escalade? I swear my Esky cluster had those green bulb condoms. I did LEDs.

I've got both a Denali and an Esky cluster; the Denali is in my truck and it had both the light covers and a tint to it.
I'm also interested in how to remove the tint; I like the blue but I'm just wanting to make little changes for a more stock appearance.
Part of me wants to swap to the 110 speedo I have and do a hyper-stock look with bright white LEDs in everything, and the other part can't be bothered right now.
