4x6 led headlights from Amazon. They're bigger than the old lights but because my grille was already messed up I said screw it and threw them on.

No offense intended, that is super ugly IMO. Makes the truck look bug-eyed.

Also those LED headlights with the circular small reflectors (like what you see in the LED light bars and cubes) are typically really bad at putting light where it's supposed to be on the road. They just flood it everywhere. Not the most considerate things for other drivers.

None taken.

I'm gonna try them for awhile and see how they work. When the take a dump I'll probably get a new grille and switch back over to more of a factory set up.

I actually saw those headlights in person, and there is no cut off line on them. Just a spot light basically. I don't recommend them.

Yeah I didn't know that. I'm probably gonna keep them on for awhile, unless they're to bright for traffic. Those old sealed beams sucked so bad though.

Let us know how they go. Might be a cool learning experience for a retrofit idea or otherwise.

Unconventional maybe, but nice to see someone try something other than bolt-in aftermarket stuff.

Any way to try and recess them more into the grille, or not enough room?

There was more room, I just used the stock plastic mounting brackets and removed the buckets. That's why they stick out farther than what I was hoping for. I didn't wanna cut up anything other than the grille, it was already broke in one spot and most of the chrome was peeling. They're definitely brighter than the sealed beams, I've got it wired up for low and high 4. I may have to switch that though.

Illegal, period. They are a flood light..not a headlight. You’re gonna blind someone doing that. Better hope someone doesn’t get run off the road as a result.

They're dot and sae stamped . Made for 18 wheelers. If they're illegal or to bright I'll take them off. I was just looking for a good alternative to the sealed beams.
