oh, I see. You couldnt have just adjusted the torx to do the same thing? And are you noticing any higher idle after that?

Are your TB shaft bushing sloppy and loose? The throttle sticking is because the butterfly is closing too far or otherwise touching the TB housing. I would remove the zip tie and turn the screw in just enough to eliminate the sticking plate.

And when you're done with that do a TPS relearn. Google how to do it for an LS1, there are a couple different ways. It won't do it on its own, it needs to be initiated.

The torx was turned all the way in before I did the mod so i couldn't turn it anymore. And no, the idle is still the same as it has always been.

What does the relearn do?

It makes the TPS read properly after you change the idle position for the throttle body which makes the transmission shift properly. You may not have noticed a change in how it shifts, but it's there. Line pressure gets corrected too.

Srry to hijack thread but im having problems with my truck its got the 5.7 vortec would the relearn apply to me. I pulled the throttle body off to clean it but never did a relearn

To just clean it, you shouldn’t have to do anything else.

I cut my flap off today my trans shift points changed should I get egr block off plate don't want to file plugs like stated in above comment
