I figured it was something like that. The ones out here won't take the frame, cab and bed are fine, but no frame without a title. I did finally find one that doesn't take any body panels, but they will take the frame if it is cut up in pieces. I just wish the price would go back up to $200/ton so it was worth my time to haul it again. Being 250 miles from the closest yard makes it tough to haul enough to pay for my gas let alone my time.

Wow, that's a lot of 400's going to the scrap yard. So, why do you take the cab off before hauling them away? Seems it would load easier all put together.
Because its easier to pull the drivetrain like that. I dont have a problem with the scrap yard because in Iowa if its 12 years old or older you dint need a title
