What throttle cable for ls swapped 350 tbi with 700r4?

Starting to gather parts to 5.3 swap my 88 k2500. I'm still having a hard time figuring out what throttle cable I need, i would much prefer going DBC over DBW. Do I get a cable from a 5.7 vortec truck? Also, where do i mount the TV cable? As far as i understand, no 3rd/4th gen 5.3 has DBC and a TV.

Thanks everyone, just having a hard time finding information on that portion of the swap.

EDIT: Will the TV EZ vortec kit work for me? Anyone had any experience with it?

Kick down cable? Is it a 700r4? If so it's a TV (Throttle Valve) cable. Here's a place you can check out and call them if you have any questions about your transmission...

I would think it would be much easier to go with a 4L60E in this swap.

You could, then you'd need a PCM and run a wire loom to the transmission. If you're gonna do that then go to a 0411 computer instead of the 7747. In the end you'd be better off.

Is the 700r4 and 4l60e the same length? will a 4l60e work with my current transfer case and driveshafts? if so i think you're right, it would be alot easier to spend the money on an engine/trans.

It all depends on what 4L60E you get

700 has 4 bolt adapter
old style 4L60E has 4 bolt adapter and same length found on 5.0/5.7
New style 4L60E has 6 bolt and about 3/4" longer
New style 4L60E has removable bell housing found on 4.8/5.3
You will need a torque converter spacer if you use old style 4L60E with 4.8/5.3

You'd already be running a PCM with a 5.3 swap. It should be pretty easy to find an engine/trans together. The transfer case is also pretty easy to deal with. You might need to swap it anyway to make the PCM happy. Get one from a truck with a 4L60E 93-99, choose your flavor of push button or mechanical.

I used a cable from a 5.3 that a cable t/b + a 4l60 from a 2003/411 pcm .i couldn't find a way to get the tv cable to work.
i also took the cruse cable from that same 5.3 and my cruse works.
NO SWAP KIT HAS IT ALL!!! you will have to surf Google and figure out some/alot of things for yourself.
