That's not really what I'd call ground effects. It's more of a runningboard/fender-flare setup. Maybe try different search terms that contain fiberglass runningboard and fender flare?

I love those running boards! I usually call them skirts, or side skirts. Sadly, not very many people make them anymore. I did see some on Auto Accessory Super Store for over $800 for the pair!! :jawdrop: Definitely not worth it, imo.

Most of these skirts came on Custom Conversion trucks. Some good info on this thread: https://www.gmt400.com/threads/where-can-i-find-these-oem-running-boards-body-kit.37371/

I actually found some at a salvage yard, they were an ECSB set off of a 94, custom conversion truck of course. I grabbed them for $20, I just had to snatch them before anyone else would, plus, the truck was crushed like a month later, so I'm glad I grabbed them. So if I were you, salvage yard is the best place to find them, or Craigslist.

Edit: added a link.

Just say no, brother. Haha.

But in all seriousness, as the guy above me said, most of the companies that made this kind of stuff have long gone under. I get guys coming into work asking for them a couple times a year and I can't get them anywhere.

Yeah, the styling is definitely aged, but I can't knock it for nostalgia sake. Maybe it's just seeing the conversion trucks growing up. 15x10's on all fours, flares, running boards, flashy streamer vinyl decals, and almost-classy-but-tacky wood interior bezels and cupholders.

The company that produced those skirts was Southern Comfort. They are still in business but only produce for newer models now. I believe it was a "Southern Comfort Coach" edition were the company outfitted some trucks along with wood grain interior pieces...If I'm not mistaken.

There's 4 pieces total you'll need and they are hard to find.

As one stated..best place will most likely be a salvage yard. That's were I found 3 of the 4 pieces I have and I'm searching for the 4th. I think I have $50 in total. I actually did find a set on CL's months ago but the guy didn't want to ship since they are long and flimsy.

Good luck

I agree, the wood trim (with some other hidden interior goodies), skirting, aftermarket wheels, and the custom paint made these nostalgic for sure. Damnit, I need to get a 3rd truck, I've got everything I need to build a conversion!
