Took a weeks vacation this week. Working on a bunch of vehicle projects. Getting ready to move my sons 69 barracuda cadaver back to my shop. Its at a buddys place. I bought it dirt cheap as a half stripped parts car a few years ago. I have been collecting up pieces since. Everything was missing from the firewall forward. Well as of yesterday it finally became a roller again. No more cinderblocks under the front framerails. Temp installed K frame, suspension arms, torsion bars, disc brakes, steering column, dash frame, and some misc pieces. Now i can get it on a tow dolley and get it home. Eventually it will all get sandblasted, painted and rebuilt. I got a whole front end kit in boxes in my loft for it.

Anyhoo, i also have been working on some reassembly of these quad lamps. Got the new sealed beams today, and still have to scuff and paint the outside of the headlight retainer frames. Need to go to lowes for some hardware to bolt together the sheetmetal wire retainers i made for the plastic buckets. Everything moving right along very nicely. Lots of little pieces and labor to reassemble all of them compared to the 90 up composite lights. That may be the reason GM switched to the composites. Less parts, cheaper to manufacture. When i get a bit further along i will post more pix

Great looking truck, can’t wait to see the headlight swap!
Thanks for the kudos. We went junkyardin today, got some GMT400 junk, and some Mopar junk. Gonna give her a bath tomorrow, finish up last of the headlights reassembly. I just sanded and painted the dividers and headlight bezels. Krylon paint n primer satin black. Just the right sheen as OEM. Takes a gazillion coats to cover though. Will prob set em in the sun tomorrow and get them to dry really wel. Going to also work on that storage box install with the 50 cal ammo box a few pages back. Need to get it off my workbench and in the truck. Lights might get installed in the near future, right now i am just happy to have rebuilt them.

Ok, they are finally assembled. I think they turned out great. Going to wrap them up and box them up for now. I have a new grille and all new lights plus am putting SS air dam driving lights on. Mod upper side markers to light up, add a 4 on high beam wiring mod, wire up driving lights. Need time to put truck in the shop for all of this.

Was wondering if anybody out there would even be willing to pay good money to buy a set of these quad lights fully restored to the condition i restored mine to, along with new bulbs? Basically plug n play RTR. I ask this since i have a second set in the pix that i can restore and put up for sale with the same quality workmanship i put into mine. I am very picky as you can see by my lighting rebuild.

Next project on the list done. My ammo box under hood storage box. I used countersunk stainless screws , and 1/8" tall spacers from my aircraft hardware scrounge box to attach the box to the plate, and raise it up enough to clear the lip on the battery tray.

Its bolted down to a diesel battery tray. Made it so i can remove one screw and take it out if i need it out of the way. I may wire up a pin switch with an old mopar door switch and use an LED light in there so if i have to dig thru it at night its lit up.

Well i just got these from rockauto today. CAPA certified lower airdam with 454SS light cutouts, and aftermarket 454SS replacement driving lights. I know this is a lot of stuff between this, the NOS grille, the restored quad lights etc. etc. However heres the thing, i plan on pulling this nose apart one time to redo it, including a new A/C condensor for redoing the A/C, so for now i just will add it all to the parts collection. Next junkyard run i will attempt to get a couple weatherpak plugs to go with the new lights.

94burbk1500 hooked me up with a spare A/C controller he had. Thanks Eric!!! Mine was sun faded so bad the buttons looked worn out. The hot n cold button the red was faded to white, the blue was fading fast as well. The backlighting for the switches doesnt light up on the one he sent, but i am sure i can figure that out and get it to light up again, or combine the 2 controllers to make 1 good one. Maybe leds or something like that. I will add this to the long list of stuff to do to the truck
