Nothing major, but the Black Fox conquered the Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles) and even made the Killboy weekly highlight reel. Lol! Definitely not a machine renowned for its handling capabilities but it was still fun with the 5 speed. The Dragon is a more direct route for us when we visit family in SC.

In the next week or two our new camper should arrive at the dealer so we can actually start using the truck for what we bought it for. I'm anxious to see how it does pulling ~7500lbs through the mountains of East TN and NC. Until it arrives, I've been scouting campgrounds in the Smokies and neighboring national forests to see where we'll fit. It's going to be a bit tight in some campground areas, but I refuse to "camp" at an RV park. We were spoiled when we lived in Idaho and could camp virtually anywhere on open BLM land.

So far, the whole family loves the truck. Even my wife approves of it, which has historically been rare for most of my crazy vehicle purchases.

Crazy to think this thing was all the way across the country, now it's just across a state line.
My girlfriend's uncle actually ripped down the Tail of the Dragon a couple years ago on his bike, he said it's some of the most beautiful countryside he'd seen in a while.

The Dragon is an experience, for sure. I'm lucky I live ~25 minutes away and can run it almost any day. We have some seriously fun roads around here.

i like the sarcasm, but it would be easier for everyone later to have a single page in the forum that has just pics and not have to go through 152 long pages across 6 long years.
Yeah well it wasn't supposed to be overly sarcastic, the convention on forums (at least those which I frequent) is to , search, read and then when all else fails ask for others for help....
I wasn't trying to be an ass, I guess sometimes things don't read the same as they sound in a conversation. I agree, it would be interesting to see the mods in a list, but as Dave is too busy, and in fact they are all there, you could copy and paste that list from Dave's thread and post it up yourself.

Thats awesome. I followed my mom and stepdads motorcycle group up the tail in my old tahoe back in 2011 or 2012. Of course it didnt keep up with the bikes so well but it was beautiful none the less. Looks like those wheels could use a polish though too lol.

Anyone know if dave has a thread for the lbz yet?
