Hi friends, new here just picked up a '99 350 4l60E suburban hat needs a fair amount of work. Picked up a OBD enhanced code scanner so I could read Pacific GM codes. Torque converter seems to unlock and lock or sometimes stay locked (no code) so my guess would either be bad solenoid or worn valve body? Also got a PO756. It's got 186k on it. It's looking mostly like solenoids and possibly a worn valve body. Did some research and well my mechanical skills are getting up there nothing great By any means but messed with transmissions a little bit before, I can get a remanufactured valve body with all components and wiring for under $200. I do believe this is the way to go, I see you can drop it from the pan the whole valve body how so though was not able to find any videos or how to? I know it's right under the transmission fluid pan as well as the solenoids. At the price of the new valve body I'm just going to go that route assuming I don't have to drop the transmission as it is a salt belt truck and would be a horrible chore and probably not worth it with out a lift any help would be appreciated thanks! Also do have a practice truck, my dad has a 93 k1500 Silverado with a rotted out body and frame that is going to the scrapper, so I could do a "pretend" valve body job on that by figuring out how to get it out although I know it's not exactly the same. Any help would be appreciated. Other than the torque converter not locking up all the time or locking and unlocking and the miss shift the trans seems good. Thanks for your help in advance!.

Not sure what your question is. If your asking can the VB be dropped without removing the trans then YES
