Hey i names Antonio i own a 1992 1500 v6 5 speed truck with 94k on her i have recently wanted to start modding my truck and i wanted to lower it ( getting rid of the 4.3 will be later) I wanted some tips on what brands of notches, shocks and springs, i should buy for the kit. I priced out separately some pieces but i dont know if buying the whole shabang would be better

I would go 100% Belltech unless you get hung up on the bitching about Belltech spindles pushing the wheel out .5" or whatever the actual figure is. In that case get DJM spindles or whatever but I feel like all the Belltech stuff is higher quality. Never had trouble with any of their stuff and I've had a lot of dropped GMT400's on Belltech everything.

Bottom line DJM's flip kit is garbage..

From what I have read:

FRONT:
Spindles:
You can argue either DJM or Belltech (Belltech pushes the wheels out slightly but I have heard the quality is better than DJM).

Springs:
I have read the Belltechs are softer than the DJM. This may be just on older kits.

SHOCKS:
I'd skip the others (Belltech, Summit, DJM, etcetera) and get Bilsteins for dropped applications.

REAR:
For a bolt in kit, no question, Belltech.

Personally, I prefer a welded in C notch such as the AVS Super C Notch or the Reklez C Notch.

I have had Belltech 5/6 with flip and c-notch and shock extenders for many years with Beltech spindles and springs. With the exception I used Bilstein shocks. No problems at all. Got many years out of the Bilstein shocks, and just replaced them with another set. And I might add, if the slight Belltech spindle out set on the front is a issue with you, you can run a slightly different off set wheel on the front to compensate for it. Lots of guys choose to run larger tires on rear anyway. I wanted same size front and rear as to be able to rotate tires. I am happy with what I have.

Couldnt i weld in the belltech one aswell? that is what i was planning to do because of strength reasonings but ill have to look into the other notches as well

Thank you for the response and i was going to go and just get the whole bang with belltech but it was going to come up to be around a thousand and piecing it was cheaper but finding shocks were the biggest issue because thats a big factor in ride quality

okay cool im definitely not going djm flip kit and the .5 being pushed out i dont really if i would care because i dont even know what wheel and tire combo im going to run but djm spindles are a little cheaper than belltechs but quality wise that price difference scares me
