This started a while back after I was throwing my truck around in a pasture. Any help would be appreciated.

So the a/c and vent controls work perfect when the blower motor is off. I can change vents and turn the ac on and can feel the air coming thru the selected vents when driving. But when I turn the blower motor on, the vents switch to the floor setting and the ac compressor turns off, along with the ac push button light. I can still control the blower motor speed and the heat. But no control over vents and ac.

I'm guessing it's probably the HVAC control panel but I wanted to get someone elses take on it.

Thanks in advance,

Alex West

Have you tried to replace the control panel yet? I had a similar problem a while back where it would only go to the floor setting. I just took the one from my parts car and it have worked ever since

Sounds like the control panel took a **** or the wiring pig tail did behind it. Pull the control panel out and take a look at the pig tail going into the back of it. I've had to replace the control panel twice now and each time they do some funky things when they go out. The main wire harness that goes into it actually melts and will cause shorting issues. ill post a picture of what mine looked like if i can find it.

But they make a updated pigtail with heavier gauge wire in case yours did melt lol

Thanks. Just glad that it sounds like an easy fix, rather than having to chase wires.

Yep should be a very easy fix IF thats what it is and its a very simple pop out and take a look check.

Here are those photos of mine when it took a **** and the fix with the updated harness.

Thanks again. I won't be with my truck till mid February but I'll definitely take your suggestion. Was already gonna replace the control panel anyways
