I have to replace my lower intake gaskets on my stock 98 5.7 Vortec is there anything I can do while I’m in there to add some performance truck does a lot of towing. My budget is $500

Maybe upgrade to the better injectors that are out there? Don’t know the price and from what I’ve read about them here, is that they have a better response. That’s about it. Give a good cleaning in there while your in there.

I put an aftermarket set of those in 3 years ago what I’m dealing with is coolant lose and a bad miss I’ve replaced plugs wires distributor cap and rotor button engine light is only showing an o2 sensor

No performance upgrades, but I just did this on my 99 with 150k. I replaced hoses, rad, water pump, heater core, thermostat, and spider.

Depending on your mileage you can pull the heads and do the timing chain while youre in there.

You don't have to pull heads to do a timing chain.

If you pull off the timing cover and it's not sealing good, holley makes a nice aluminum one for the Vortec with a crank sensor hole for like $50
