I agree with @BNielsen, I have the LMC HD harness and 4-HI kit in my 98 and had no issues. Although, the two tabs on the connector to the bulb are stiff and can break easily on the HD harness.

This is unfortunate to hear :( I bought an auto down kit from @gmachinz a couple years back for a squarebody suburban I had at the time and the transaction went flawlessly. To hear so many people having problems with him now is disheartening because he does produce a good product. I wonder if it may be an issue with too much work and not enough time, but that doesn't excuse the poor communication when a customer has an inquiry about the progress of their project :( I hope this gets resolved so that everyone is happy.

I’ll agree. My order was for parts only (no work required). Took a PayPal dispute to get some action-I got parts, wrong parts. At that point I closed that book and said screw it and chocked it in the lessons learned category.

Before I purchased the kit from gmachinz, he mentioned that the relays mount near the drivers side headlight assembly on the core support. Once I get the refund from this chargeback and purchase another HD headlight harness, I'm going to mount the relays there from a different kit.
The underhood fuse box on these trucks have provisions for standard relays to mount to. Also has a short distance to 12v studs on the back of the box too. Just a thought.

I definitely do think it's because of too much work and not enough time. Trust me, I really do get that... but like you said, it doesn't excuse the poor communication. All I was looking for was some progress updates. I wouldn't have minded if he let me know there was going to be a week delay or something, I'm human too, I know delays happen. But, because of the lack of communication it has made me irate.

Opened up a PayPal dispute yesterday, as promised. Hopefully he gets back to me. If he does decide to send the harness, I hope he doesn't send me the wrong harness...

I bought a 4hi harness from him a few years back on a different forum, at the time his communication was great, he added an extra relay & wires per a diagram I sent him.
The harness itself was great quality, but like most of my projects it got put on the shelf until I had time to deal with it. Ended up being almost 2 years before I had the grille off for other reasons & I decided to do the lights while I was there. The harness installed exactly like it was supposed to, but the diode for the 4hi was bad. I sent him a message asking what a replacement would cost (I'm guessing the diode was bad to start with, but I wasn't going to ask him to send me a free one after 2 years, it was my own fault it sat that long). I got a response almost right way basically saying I didn't buy a kit from him because he didn't make his diodes in that style. I sent him a better description of the jumper & then later a picture of it along with the PayPal transaction info. He never responded to either message.
After that I refuse to do business with him, even if he does make a quality product. I specifically asked how much a replacement would cost, so it's not like the message could be interpreted as me trying to get free stuff. Sucks because I need a relay harness for my other truck, guess I'm building it myself even though I hate wiring.

Yeah I'm not big into wiring either. That sucks how he wouldn't give you an estimate on a replacement.

Last night @gmachinz got back to me. He apologized for the delay and explained why he's been delayed. He's back on top of communication since the explanation. The harness will be shipped out this afternoon which is a relief to hear. Update to come once the harness arrives.

I can do small jobs fairly well, my problem is I don't usually have the patience for larger projects. I didn't expect that kind of response, but my cobbled together replacement is still going so I guess I didn't need a properly built one anyways.
