Made it through basic alive. Now I'm at AIT at Fort Eustis to be a Chinook mechanic. I was home over Christmas and replaced one of the ****** quick disconnect heater lines with a nipple and clamp, no more leaks. My distributor also **** itself so I coughef up the money for a nice billet one. No pics, but it runs good. Also put a catch can on the pcv tube to catch any nasty ****, egr is just unplugged. Still need to get a tune for it, probably gonna have to wait till I get to my first duty station tho. So around 17 weeks. I still got lots planned for this truck. My list as of now, in no particular order ("x" means completed):

Cab marker lights
X Fuel pump x
X MPFI conversion x
X Passenger CV axle x
XCam/rockersx
Tune
EGR Delete (tune)
X PCV Delete (catch can)x
X Vent tube to intake delete x
Headers
X Exhaust x
Fix weird HVAC ****
AC Compressor
X Radio x
X Driver side mirror - lkq x
Grill - lkq
Steering box

Thanks. I've yet to be up close to one but I'm looking forward to it. They're pretty badass. Hopefully one day I'll get to fly em. Once I get to my duty station I'll start working on the truck again. Well unless they send me to Korea, they've been sending a lot of people there lately.

Welp. It looks like Imma be going to Korea. Gonna spend 1 year there before I pcs to a different duty station stateside. So no more work for a long while. The Chinooks are pretty awesome tho. Can lift 26,000 lbs. Crazy stuff. Could easily park 2 gmt400s inside of it. Gonna have a fun time working on these. I think Imma order up a black bear tune soon and have my dad put it in. Will update when I can.

Ordered a black bear tune. I'm still away so my dad installed it for me. He says it runs great, got rid of all the issues the old computer had trying to keep up with the new cam and rockers.
