I bought these spacers off of ebay. They are for the newer GM 8 lug trucks. They fit fine on my 1999, but I had to grind a small amount of material off of the inside to allow room for for my 8 lug sf 14 bolt axles to work.

This is the area that had to be ground down. These spacers are hub-centric. The axle flange sticks out approx 3/4" into the spacer. There is 1/4" of the axle flange that is wider than the rest - that is why you need to relieve the spacer a little. You still end up with 1/2" of spacer resting tightly against the hub flange, so it locates nicely and will be strong.

If you have the factory drum brakes, you probably wouldn't need to grind down the spacer as the drum mounts to the outside of the hub (vs discs mounting on the inside).

And the wheel installed. Using the stock wheels, the center of the wheel rests against the inner flange of the spacer also. This should help keep things located and strong.

I went on a 60 mile test run. The truck feels better now. Before it always felt like the truck was dog tracking. Now it feels like it wants to roll straight down the road.

I wrote "Venom Performance" in the title, but I was wrong - the place I bought these from is called Venom Wheel Accessories.

I had a set of junk aluminum 2" wheel spacers I ran for a short while, it was surprising how steady the truck felt in corners after adding them. A local tire shop screwed up on of the studs, and after attempting to press a new stud in it cracked the spacer itself, not a big deal considering they were free, they weren't hub-centric either so I wasn't 100% on them.

I've been looking for a better set for a while, a hub-centric steel set rated for towing; what are these made of? Aluminum or steel?

These are made of forged t6 6061 aluminum. These are the nicest aluminum spacers I could find, being hub centric. They were $157. The steel ones are better yet.

How well do the rear discs tuck up into the tire with the spacers on? That's one of the big things that bothered me with mine is that the drums stuck so far out.
Where did you get your conversion kit from again? Lugnut4x4?

Here is a pic of the rear. The discs don't stick out too far, but you do see them. Yes, I bought a Lugnuts 4x4 conversion. If I had to do it over again, I might have pieced together my own kit.
