I’ve already done this in the past. I haven’t had any issues. Compared to headlights today they aren’t bright at all. The only reason I had to buy another set was because my son in law took the quad beams off and put these stupid composite with LED turn signals. Even back in the day they were really not bright at all. They were really no brighter than the typical 55 watt square driving lights that were cool back in the day.
The HID bulbs innjalogen housings are a lot brighter and more annoying than my high beam halogens in low beam locations

That's a lot of anecdotal evidence and not a lot of facts. Which is pretty much par for the course in these conversations...

Although I do agree that not much is worse than HIDs in halogen housings, just because something is "less bad" than something else doesn't make it good.
