So a few months ago, I put new upper control arms with upper ball joints on, along with new Bilstein 4600 shocks and I torqued the upper control arm bolts on with my truck still jacked up and didnt learn until recently that they are supposed to be torqued with the wheels on the ground..... Did I ruin my bushings by not tightening them with the wheels down? 98 k1500 5.7

You're not the first guy to do that, and maybe. Did you take in in for alignment after the bushings? IF so the mechanic likely loosened them up and re-tightened them in the process.

Lossen them up and tighten them at ride height. If the slugs are gone at the adjustment it can be trick to do with out everything moving. If you are driving it an alignment should be a priority. It doesn't take much of a change to wear out a set of tires quick.

Like others have stated, go get your alignment done asap - they will torque the uppers at ride height when they make the adjustments. After a few miles, double check the torque on the nuts.

Did the truck ride high for awhile, then the height dropped to more like what it used to be?

If so, the bushings ripped.

If not, MAYBE you can just loosen and re-torque at normal ride height.

THIS is one of several reasons I won't use a bonded rubber bushing if I can get a Polyurethane bushing for the application. Poly bushings can be torqued at ANY ride height with no concern.

I'm just gonna nip this one in the bud since it's nasty and snowing out ..... I plan on replacing the bushings here in a few days and I'm gonna torque the camber bolts at ride height..... Does moog make polyurethane bushing replacements for their upper control arms? I looked it up and didn't really get any specifics but it's looking like polyurethane is the way to go ....

Moog is unlikely to supply Poly bushings.

You need to be sourcing from Energy Suspension, Prothane, or another specialist Polyurethane supplier.
