Hello this is my first post I'm new to the forum. I have a 14 bolt full floater rear axle that has an open diff and I'm looking just throw in a limited slip device I'm down to either the Eaton truetrac or the Yukon. Does anybody have any experience with either of these that could give me some feedback of any pros or cons?

I have the Truetrac, and LOVE it. It's a billion times better than the G80 that I pulled out. It's VERY predictable, and you NEVER have to worry about if or when it's going to engage both tires. I have mine in the rear (10 bolt) in a 2 door 4x4 tahoe. I took it to the sand dunes last year, and hardly ever had to use 4x4 with the tires aired down. I can't speak on the Yukon, but if I ever own another vehicle that I want a limited slip in, I'm definitely going to pick up another Truetrac.

I can't speak to their off-road capabilities, but I have a TrueTrac in my Monte Carlo and it is awesome on the street. Super smooth, quiet, and it works great. The only thing I would be concerned about is that if you ever have a 100% complete loss of traction with one wheel (like if it's off the ground), all the power will go to that wheel and you'll free-spin unless you apply some brake to transfer torque to the wheel with traction. For that reason I would at least consider an Eaton Detroit Locker instead if this were going into one of my trucks. You'd notice it more on the street but they still have the ability to unlock for cornering. If you don't spend a ton of time off-road or doing donuts you may not need a locker, though.

Yeah,, we're kinda out in left field with the 14FFs, as there are not a lot of choices,, the Detroit Locker is probably the least expensive and strongest unit,, but you do have to use some restraint in some situations.
You don't want to "nail it" while going around a sharp corner, the Detroits need some "feathering" of the throttle to be able to unlock,, and you can hear them ratchet.
The deal with a Detroit, is that it is "normally locked", and the absence of torque allows it to "ratchet" and unlock.
Most of the other types are "normally un-locked", and use the slippage of one wheel going faster than the other to kinda lock-up, and transfer torque.
Here is a vid of how a TrueTrac works;

An addendum,, with devices such as the Truetrac you get variable torque application under different traction conditions.
With a Detroit Locker you get an on-an-off switch,, it's either all or nothing. They work great in sand, rock climbing, mud, gravel, clean snow, etc., or when a wheel might be in the air.
But,, if you get on an icy surface, in an off-camber situation, you can get in real trouble real easy.
A too heavy throttle application will spin both rear wheels at the same speed, and the rear end of your vehicle can start sliding sideways to the downhill side,, you hope there is not a cliff off the side of the road.
Here is one of the best comparisons of different types of differentials;

Really? What's not available to us?
Well yeah, really not too bad,, but when you look at application charts, rear ends like the 10 bolt, and the old 12 bolt, and the Fords, and Chryslers seem to have more stuff available,, but it's probably not a big deal.

Ya know, the guy in the vid kinda mis-explained.
The Truetrac is a "form" of a Torsen, but operates differently,, in the Truetrac the gears slide across to engage,, so there is a time lag.
In a "real" Torsen, the gears are operating in a different plane, and are constantly engaged so the operation is smooth and seamless, without stuff moving around.
However, they don't build a real Torsen for 14FFs that I know of,, but hey, if you're not a hard-core off roader the Trutrac is the most friendly,, my opinion only.
Here is an example of a Torsen, and you'll see how it operates compared to the Trutrac;
