hey all

My heater motor just quit working yesterday, when I bought the truck it would only work on high(any setting) I replaced the heater switch it is a non AC model so it doesn’t have the electronic style, after I replaced that it worked great on any setting, yesterday I started my truck heater worked great defrosted my truck etc, shut the truck off after work went to fire it up and the heater motor would turn on, after a while I could feel heat coming from the vents but by your face no where else. The heater motor wouldn’t turn on or fan. Anyways the motor never gave any symptoms of dying nothing so I’m kind of stumped where should I start before buying a tone of parts?

Thanks

You checked the blower motor resistor?

Usually it does give one speed, but in the past I have seen the resistor cut out all to the motor. I would take out the blower and hook it to 12 on the bench and see what how it acts.

I had the same issue, resistor actually looked fine, but continuity tested the middle resistor, and got nothing, so i replaced it and everything worked again.
