Some of the other cool stuff I’ve found was a 4x4 Tahoe issued for a fire department. It had the certified 100 mph cluster, an aux switch, and the DRL off switch. It was located in a questionable area, could have swore I heard banjos playing on the way there.

In other news, since I work slow and don’t have a lot of time to spend on truck stuff, I started working on the other end of my fog light setup.
Years ago I found a pace truck at the local pic a part, and it had a damaged set of valence fog lights and brackets. Well several years later I finally found another damaged set from a Gmt400 dismantler, and thankfully the damage was on the other side. So bingo..I was able to piece together a damaged set and an undamaged set. I’ve been able to rework the damaged set to around 95 percent in my opinion.
I then blasted and painted them both up and put some new grand am fog lights in the brackets. These are genuine gm lights, but have a plastic lens as opposed to the original glass lens. The only difference in the grand am lights and the Gmt400 lights is that the adjuster is on the bottom as opposed to the top. So the lights have to be rotated 180 degrees, and a new orientation notch cut into the internal housing webbing to retain proper optics.
