Yesterday afternoon i finally decided to pull the tired old tbi 350 from my 94 in preparation for the 5.3 to be installed. I started removing wireloom and trying to separate unneeded engine wires from non engine systems with the goal to keep everything clean and simple. I have a complete stand alone harness from swapspecialties to run the engine but im curious to see what others have done to eliminate factory wiring. Also, if i have posted in the wrong section please let me know.

I removed all factory wiring from my truck laid it out on the floor. Took all the wire loom off, then started cutting out all the wires that used to control the factory motor. So what i was left with was guage wires, 4x4, and prnd selector wires.

I gutted my whole truck and rewired it myself.
Found some rat chewed wires and some broken wires. So I just started over.
Took me a little time but was well worth it.
