The axles on these trucks are 3 inches so you really shouldn't get much more with just a flip kit, the rest will come from hangers and bracket swaps. This is from the instructions:

Some Tahoe’s may sit low in the rear. Use DJM lifting shackle part #SH1000 to raise the rear.

Looks to me like the rear may drop more depending on what was in your truck. It looks like there were two different hangers available. I did a shackle swap on mine years ago, I don't see why you couldn't swap those after this and get more drop.

Flip kits provide a 6" drop. Period. Common knowledge.
Flip kit + hangers = 8" drop.
Flip kit + drop shackles = either a 7" or an 8" drop, depending on where the spring is attached to the shackle.
Flip kit + shackles AND hangers = a total of either 9" or 10" worth of drop, once again, depending on where the spring is attateched to the shackle.

This is basic/common for pick-ups.
The exception...
The factory hangars on a pick-up are different than the hangars on an SUV.
This is due to the different profile shape of the frame rails between the two vehicle body styles.
When a 2/4 drop is installed on a P/U, (shackles & hangars) the trucks will still sit higher in the rear than the front. That drop does not level the truck.
To get a P/U to ride level requires a 3" difference FR to Rr. 1/4, 2/5, 3/6, 4/7, 5/8, 6/9.
A fairly common method of getting a 2/4 drop down to a level riding 2/5 height is to utilize a set of STOCK hangars from an SUV.
When installed on a P/U, due to the different frame shape, those factory SUV hangars position the front spring eye .75" LOWER than a set of aftermarket 2" lowering hangars, providing a somewhat level ride height of 2/4.75".
Therefore...installing a set of aftermarket 2" drop hangars on an SUV will actually RAISE the rear up .75"!

To add to what he is saying the kits online will advertise that they are 5ing drops because hoes and burbs will ride like crap lower than 6”(unless you dump more money). So they provide a lift shackle to bring it up in the rear for better ride quality

Lol! Yea. As in...slicing & dicing the floor pan, or fabbing up a complete custom pan, from just in front of the rear seats to behind the diff pumpkin.
Seems to me, IIRC, that the driveshaft tunnel requires some 'massaging' too.

All correct, I am actually thinking of going IRS to avoid cutting up a lot. Just an idea I am tossing around....
