Well lot has been going on, trying to balance full time work, school, and racetruck projects is hard haha.

Buddy is keeping his btr cam so I ordered a BTR Stage 4 cam kit with the blue beehive springs. Got the block back from the machine shop and all the rebuild stuff finally came in the mail.
Had a little mishap I ordered the wrong pistons from summit and had to reorder but other than that everything going smooth. Busted ass this weekend and got the rotating assembly in the block ready for the cam....whitch is on backorder and is running late....big surprise. Anyways making good time.

Mods so far

Sealed power full float pistons (coated)
Sealed power rings and bearings
ARP rod bolts
Head studs
Tapped and plugged (aluminum 1/8 npt plugs) the oil passages for the AFM system in the valley. Also tapped and plugged the oil pressure sensor hole and relocated it to the oil pan.
Ict valley cover.

Engine looks so good now don’t wanna cover it up with accessories haha.

Little info for y’all, anyone doing a dod delete on a gen 4 ls:

Most of the kits you buy include lifters trays and gaskets. And a valley pan that has O rings to seal the oil passages. This is my opinion. O rings can fail and if one fails you will lose major oil pressure through these valley passages. In my application I have a high pressure oil pump so I was concerned about it. My solution was to drill and tap these ports for 1/8 npt and screw in plugs. I did this while the block was bare so I could clear out all the metal shavings. This would not be an option if doing the delete in the truck as you would have no way to remove the shavings. The plugs were only 16 dollars for all of them from summit racing. I feel this is worth the peace of mind knowing I will not lose oil pressure from a failed o ring. The whole job only took me an hour, I plugged the oil pressure sensor port as well because I relocated it to the pan port.

Side note: I completely finished assembling the motor this weekend.

Well had a busy weekend, rear suspension totally redone minus shocks. Drop shackles and removed overload spring. Still think it’s not low enough, probably ordering hangers and spindles. New u bolts because old ones were rusted in half.

Full custom drag bars are on, 3-4 beltech lowering kit is on. Engine is half-assed tuned by me but rips pretty good. She’ll roll to 120mph like it’s nothing. If I’m not careful this truck gonna send me to jail. THIS THING NEEDS MUFFLERS. Been driving around with earmuffs.

Driveshaft needs attention, I set the speed limiter to 110 now because of fear the factory two peice is going to rip apart above that speed. (Starts vibrating pretty bad) Custom steel one-piece is gonna run me about 500. Also the ass is still to high and stiff on launch, gonna take a couple leafs out of the pack and see if that fixes it.

Now my updated to do list:

Strip interior
New insulation and carpet
New cloth buckets I sourced from a local junkyard
Wire water temp to dash
Fix oil pressure gauge
INTAKE- my intake air temps are 120+ all the time
tune
Tweak drivetrain.

Also little sneak peek for y’all of the new toy, I’m sure I’ll put a thread up in the custom lift suspension threads.

Been a busy weekend...
Took a big chunk out of the interior work. Ie, floor, sound deadner, carpet, buckets, and some trim peices. Also roll pan back on, properly this time, and washed it...

Well after a few burnouts I have come to the realization that my 4.10 rear axle is an open diff.... so for sake of cost I have decided to swap the axle out of my gmc (4.56 gears gov lock 14 bolt ff) and put the open diff with 4.10 in the gmc until I can afford a proper locker. Should rip like hell hopefully hitting the track next weekend to get a baseline pass for it. Also sold the 20s for some stock work truck 16s and tires with cash on top. And started the process of painting the truck one panel at a time.

New axle in. Still only rough tuned by me the pig made the quarter in 14.8 at 92 mph. Considering load range e 245s and sucky tune...Good baseline pass. Definitely needs a tune and tires. Bogged off the line but blew the tires off going into second gear. Much room for improvement. She’s pretty fun. Pitiful 60ft for having gears...

My buddy’s ls swap c10 ran its first 13 the same day (the one in the pic). He was the one I raced on the time slip but he blew the tires off so I just slipped ahead.
