Figured I'd throw up a build thread for my project/cruiser 1989 Firebird. It's a base model Firebird with a 305 TBI, 5 speed and 3.08 gears. It's supposedly a Kansas car, and nearly devoid of any rust. My brother and I bought it on a whim in Michigan when we saw it on the side of the road.
Here it is when we got it back to Wisconsin
It's got a strange history, it was in an accident, evident by a messed up A pillar-fender gap and the fact that the front half of the front clip was plasma cut off, and the front of a different car was welded on. The original color was light blue, the original color of the donor front was black. It's got new fenders though. The goodwrench 305 crate motor has 30,000 miles on it and the trans is like new.
The P.O also did their own hack attempt to make a racecar, the TB had an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, the a/c was hacked out, It had a switch-wired Flex-a-Lite radiator fan and blue wire loom decorated the engine harness.
Drove it back from Michigan, got new ujoints, bearings in the rear axle, and rear brakes. Put on an older style set of taillights, took off the spoiler.
Last winter, my Brother re did the ugly, pot-smoke grey interior with a super simplified custom black interior with aluminum trim. Deleted the center console so that the shifter could stick directly out of the floor, and put a cue ball on the stick. New steering wheel, and a set of led gauges.
It started to run poor in the cold, so I did a tuneup, rebuilt the TB and did the ultimate TBI mods, put a chrome air filter on, and painted the top of the engine. I also pulled out the A/c heater box, A/c condenser, put on a non-ac heater box, and touched up the factory blue in there.
The before and after of that program.

That video is as it sat during the summer. It had a bad plug, and liked to only run on 7 cylinders, so I put in a new set of plugs. Then, I got to some modifications I'd been itching to do.
