I remenber when I worked at the local GMC dealer mid 70's they had a GMC sales convention in our town. They shipped 50 high optioned 2wd shortbeds to us that had conversions done by a co. called LMP. It stood for Lansing Recreational Products. All were white with western murals painted down both sides and the rear. They painted them by projecting the image on the truck with a classroom type projector and airbrushing it on. They all looks the same. Each dealer attending drove one home we got to keep one. The boss didn't sell it but just parked it out back and drove it occasionally until it started to show some rust ,then it got sold as he knew doing any paint work would be impossible.

I can only imagine how much that cover weighs! My dads old 96 had a much lower fiberglass cover and it weighed a lot... the struts were dead. It was a pain to get open and closed.

I bet! Lol, I have never had a fiberglass cover, but I can only imagine how heavy those things are, and especially the one on that truck! Might need three people to lift it off.

A center console with an old skool TV in it, that's something you don't see every day! Glad it all still works!
