Gunk in taillight sockets

I hate dielectric grease... Every time they give me a packet of it at the parts store when I buy bulbs it goes directly into the trash can.

I love it. Here in rusty wonderland I spray Krown T40 into my electrical connectors and then liberally apply dielectric grease as well. No issues with corrosion in the treated sockets after that ever.

I love it as well, and of course, I live in the rust belt as well, sadly. Sockets with dielectric are almost a must in the rust belt.

Yup, I just put 3157's in all sockets before I upgraded to LEDs. Didn't hurt it

1156 would be the round socket. I think 88-89 taillights were that way?

In my 89 the license plate light sockets were completely destroyed by some sort of chemical reaction that turned the sockets into a stickey, gooey ,eroded mess. I replaced both my sockets.

Yeah that's real common around here. I think I have a few viable spares in case mine are nasty. Since I haven't had to change a bulb in either one yet, I haven't checked to see what awaits haha.
