I have the goofy electronic assist crap on my ‘99. I know there is the fix of unplugging the sensor on the steering column and putting the U shaped adapter on the output of the pump. I have read discussion of changing the hose from the pump to the hydroboost to the older style hose and not needing the adapter. Is it that simple, or do I need the other dewhickie from the older style pump to go with the older style hose?
