So im back again after my rebuild and im having this my transmission has 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear but it wont shift into 4th and this is all in OD but when I downshift to D it will act as if it has downshifted from 4th to 3rd, its extreamly confusing. Also it seems to be late shifting from 1-2 at about 20mph now ive done rebuilds b4 and the 1-2 ahift is usually around 15mph ( I say mph because i have no rpm gauge) any way im stumped on what could bebcausing this ive thought to myself maybe the governor or improper tv cable adjustment??? Any help on thia would be greatly appreciated

I'll check that but I doubt that's it

I guess I should have expanded on that a bit. What that caused was that the servo couldn't stroke all the way. If you remove your servo you may find that your pin has been eaten like I discovered mine was when I did the shift kit on it.

Oh damn! Yeah thats a much better explination, wheb you said broke did you mean the bore got all wonkey and the servo could nt travel? And did you end up having to get a new case?

2 separate things. My TCC began to slip so I installed a shift kit and PWM delete. Later on, I broke half of the ring off of the case that holds the servo cover in. This let the servo hang back a little too far and it was cockeyed in there so couldn't stroke all the way. That pic is from when I did the shift kit and the collar could only slide back and forth a little bit, the burrs kept it from going any farther. Not sure if that was an issue or not, but I smoothed it all down so nothing was binding. When the case broke I slapped a 4L80 in.

Well b4 I pull it out again im going to get under the truck ans check it out

Servo pops right out the side. No need to drop the trans to investigate. You will need a new o ring to put it back in though. Definitely no guarantee anything is wrong in there, but it is easy to check.

I got a ton of spare parts from bike a couple rebuilt I've done we're done like 5 or 6 so I got seals and **** one thing I didn't do is the scarf cut seals I didn't replace those because when the transmission took a dump it was still pretty low mileage so maybe that might be a problem to us I need to replace those seals
