Used mine in the Suburban for CDs back in the day.

Alldata has a cheaper version (alldatadiy.com) which is about $30/yr per vehicle. It has the wiring diagrams and component views similar to what he posted. It’s been well worth it for me.

For example...

How expensive would a set of paper FSMs (factory service manuals) be for these trucks. I have had mine close to 25 years, and always went to a Haynes manual for information. I do have paper FSMs for my older mopar vehicles. Last one i bought was a 1967 plymouth reprint with barracuda suppliment for about $70. CD roms are cheaper, but take longer to page thru IMHO. When i have to work out of them i burn copies on a photo copier at work to work off of and put the books back on the book shelf. I'm figuring this may be better having hard copy in your hands that you pay for one time as opposed to online stuff you may have to pay a a yearly fee to use.

Differs by year, but if I recall correctly my full set for '97 was around $120. Anyone who's interested in a set, make sure you check Helm Inc (the original publisher) first as several years are still in print and cheaper new than used. Here's a link to their site.

If the particular year you're looking for is out of print at Helm, then try eBay or other sources for a used set.

Arm rests, 1990 c1500. are there any better aftermarket solutions? I could buy a new set again but they break ridiculously fast, if someone has an idea that would be greatly appreciated!

I am trying to permanently fix the broken door panel problem on my 1993 standard cab. Are all the GMT400 door panels interchangeable if the switches from the door panel to be used remain on the panel?

Hi

First time poster on the forum! I just let my -59 Apache go and went and got a 88 reg cab short bed. I am so pleased with it!
Anyway the interior needs some love and especially the door trim on the drivers side:

I have searched online for door parts but just seem to find the repro complete doorcards.

Any suggestions as to how I could tackle this ?

It's been a while since I've had an early set of D/P's apart, but IIRC, those small panel insets are removeable. Easy to recover. I can help you out with a few tips when you get to that point.
The plastic covers for the pull's bolts would be a wrecker find.
Check passenger door panels. They're always in better shape. More likely to have them still.
