My truck came with orange/pink coolant. It doesn't leak, and I have no cooling issues with it. I am just wondering what coolant to use if I did need to add. I have a gallon of dex cool that I bought back in the 90's, but am afraid to use it if my coolant isn't actually dex cool...

I think some of the other automakers use a red coolant..... I think Honda is red, but I doubt you'd find Honda coolant in a Chevy. I think I've seen aftermarket orange coolant.

Why not just change it? It only lasts so long.

I would go ahead and change it like @454cid suggested. Put green coolant in there and your truck will thank you. I hate Dexcool. Period.

The FleetCharge coolant I run in my F250 IDI diesel is pink. Difference between it and the green stuff is that it has SCAs in it to help fight cavitation.

Of course, I have no idea why somone would put that in a gasser, but to answer your question about whether pink means DexCool, no.
