Wasn’t able to get a lot done today. Finished blocking the drivers side, got half the guide coat done on the passenger ...

I will finish blocking the guide coat with the 220, hit it with a fresh coat of epoxy primer on the bare spots, 2k high build all over, and start removing the doors and sanding the cab tomorrow.

Got everything set, cleaned and sprayed with epoxy again ...

I went to clean my gun then realized I mixed up the epoxy primer with the urethane activator ... not the epoxy catalyst ...

I won’t lie, I almost threw up. Sooo ... the whole thing got a bath in Lacquer thinner ... twice ... a once over with prewash ... and another coat of epoxy primer then one last shot of primer surfacer.

A whole lot of frustration today ... but I won’t lie ... this thing turned out STRAIGHT!

COLOR & 1 janky a$$ paint booth LOL ... went on SLICK!

For anyone looking for an inexpensive gun ... the SprayIt 33000 is 100! It is a LVLP, meaning you’re going to have to slow it down, but it is a great gun.

4 coats of single stage white, color sanded with 400, ready for clear!

Once clear is shot I will hit the underside of the new StyleLine cowl hood and the door jambs/inside of door. 2” cowl, $300 shipped, not too bad of a deal. No clear on the jambs and inside door, really surprised at the shine of the Summit Single Stage. If I hadn’t already purchased the clear I prob wouldn’t use it on the exterior either.

Headed to bone yard tomorrow to pick up a new passenger door, it’s too far gone to salvage (not really ... it’s just more work than it’s worth).

Had a few people ask me about my “booth” setup. It’s not much, in fact it’s barely anything but it works GREAT! I have a fan on each side of the truck and a couple of air filters in the back to clear out “the cloud” [emoji23]

I literally have plastic hanging by clamps Ha Ha!

Final clear coat is on and drying, it will be out of the booth tomorrow!
