Has anyone swapped stock sway bar links for extended ones in the 3” lift range? I’m running the 3” RC lift and I believe my stock sway bar links are preventing the control arms from proper downtravel range.

I found some nice Cognito’s that are 1” longer than stock which should do the trick, but they’re for newer HD trucks. I found a Tahoe/Yukon forum post where a guy used them in an OBS Tahoe without modification.

Anyone have any experience with longer/HD sway bar links? TIA

I wouldn't think they wouldn't be too hard to make/extend. A lot of them are just bushings, special washers, a long bolt, and a sleeve. Buy a pair, and replace the bolts with longer ones, and find some tubing that you can use as a spacer. If an industrial supply house doesn't have the bolts maybe you can find threaded rod that's hardened. Maybe look at McMaster-Carr.

For the larger lifts we just flip our sway bar over. It may be to much for a 3" lift but worth a look.....

I took mine off with my RC 4" lift to test it out. Mines a reg cab short bed, the increased body roll is hardly noticable, but the smoother ride definitely is.

I found a pair of Tuff Country sway bar links I’m gonna try instead of the cognito’s as they were cheaper and are a specified fit. The sleeve is 1” longer than the stock links which should be perfect. Any longer and the end of the sway bar will be awfully close to the UCA.

If they don’t work, I’ll use the bushings and make my own
