Thats what I was thinking too. I would love a GMT400 dually with the 454 or 6.5. That would pull the boat nicely. I just cant part with the Suburban, unless I sold my other vehicle or I found the right dually.

So I thought my new lights had a better output than the old ones...nope! While I love the smoked housings, they seem to be letting barely any light out. I tried the old bulbs, plus the bulbs that came with the new housings. What would you suggest for better light output? HIDs? I might sell these and get new clear housings, but I have not made that decision yet.

You'll get more lumens without moe heat, and stay in the same color temp range with HIR bulbs. Available at basically any parts store with numbers 9011/9012. Try them before you change housings again.

+1 on the HIRs, I'm running 9011/9012 bulbs in my clear housings and it's an amazing amount of light being put out.

Got my boat to the yard today. Truck squatted real bad even with air shocks in the rear. If I had motors and drives in the boat, it would have been alot better. Only had to go down the road from my house so it was not far at all. The burb is not going to become my tow rig, so i will probably be on the hunt for a dually next spring to add to my fleet.
