LOL I would pay money to watch someone successfully get beaten down on price, over wiper blades... "You want 3k? I will give you 2200... wiper blades are dry rotted... so you know... it's not mint"

I was thinking the same.... it's a used truck buddy it's going to need a few things to make it right for you. A few years ago, I had a guy try to low ball me on my 69 Buick LeSabre from the south (I'm in MI). Asking if I'd take money off for this and that.... I think I had told him 11 or 12 hundred, and went to $1000. He wanted it for $700, and was trying to pull that "let me know when you're serious crap". I had zero problem telling him no. He didn't seem to know much about cars, and I got the feeling he was just a flipper.

13k!?! It's a nice truck... but is this the market value you would expect it to pull in your area? I was thinking maybe 5k? 6k tops?

I think that was about what the SS's went for that were up for auction up here awhile back. I haven't followed truck prices for a long time.... I've been driving my 99, since 99. I wouldn't be interested because it has only a third of a box and it's a half ton.

yah, stepside never really did it for me... I never saw the lure for a smaller box. I had a 2015 Ram CC and I always hated the small box. Felt like CC trucks were becoming more like SUV's and less like trucks. I did love that HEMI power though!

I also applaud you for owning a vehicle for that long. The longest I have ever held onto a vehicle is about 5 years... I hope to hold onto my 97 for a while though... new trucks just stopped doing it for me...

Trucks like these are gonna be hard to turn down once I get my own place with a shop.

Of course one or two would wind up being parted out to keep other trucks alive, but I'd probably repair and flip the cleanest one. I could only do a few trucks a year like that though, damn NC and their licensing laws.
your house is gonna look like @skylark s a couple years after you buy it lol

That nice 93 stepside would bring close to 7-8k in Iowa. Looked out in the California Craigslist the other day and could not believe the prices over there! Cheap! Some were asking around $3000-4000 for a truck that was ready to go, and rust free! There are trucks in Iowa that people are selling for $3000-4000 for a truck that is ready to go, but rusty. My next truck is definitely going to be a California truck, I don't care if I need to go travel for it, I think it's worth it for a rust free pickup.

I bought my truck from a guy here in Florida. He shipped it from California to Florida, I bought it from him. No rust ANYWHERE. Original paint on it from 98.

How much does it cost to ship from Cali to Florida? If you don't mind me asking. I'm not sure if it is cheaper to drive to Cali or have it shipped to Iowa.
