Needing some ideas,i have 2 15" sundowns and i wanna rattle my retinas loose lol. I had a box that fit 2 12" subs but it was really shallow and speaker options were limited. I'm going to bucket seats though and wanted to build a box/center console for the subs and amp,the subs are ZV3s and I'm not sure about an amp yet. I had them hooked up to a legacy predator 4000w amp and they were thumping with the amp barely up. Anyone got some suggestions on an amp that pushes decent power but won't kill my subs? I'm fairly new to the audio game so go easy lol

is it a reg cab or extended?
if it's a reg cab you got the wrong size subs,i've had 15's,12's,10's,1 15,1 12 and i'm about to build a console box for my reg cab for 2 8's and i'm quite sure that it will be plenty loud.
sometimes you have to buy subs according to the room you have not buy huge subs than figure out how you are going to make them fit

Truck is a regular cab. I wish i could find a picture of the truck that gave me the idea, but i wanna start my box far enough back from the dash so i can shift into 2nd,4th and reverse then pretty much curve it up the back window to the headliner so one sub is on the floor facing up and the other would be almost above it but back a few inches so i can see out of my side windows still lol. Then i was gonna mount the amp(s) in the middle with a few pieces of plexi so they look like they are just floating. I'm contemplating it but i need to do a little more research on box building first lol. I didnt really buy the speakers for the truck,my buddy was about to pawn them for 100 bucks so i gave him more money for em lol pretty sure they discontinued the ZV3s a few years back too. But I'm not a fan of 8s or 10s really, they hit nice and crisp but you can't hear them after a block or two. I wanna be able to crank it up and rattle dishes out of my cabinet from the driveway lol.

Another reason why i wanna stick with the sundowns is because not many people are running bigger than 10s in reg cabs. I know its about to be viciously loud inside and probably be more of an inconvenience with the monster sized box getting in my way,but imagine the look on peoples faces when they see all the boomboom i squeezed inside a regular cab. That would be worth it lol

Damn dude,i bet those 10s were banging then. Hell I'd brag about em lol. I've only made one other box before and ported it all wrong,it sounded like the subs were toasted. I switched to a kicker box and they sounded perfect again. That forum is definitely gonna help me out, thanks dude!
I love my music cranked up but i always turn my amp off when I'm in traffic or going through town though. I know not everyone appreciates subs, but if someone cuts in front of me at the mcdonalds drive thru I'll definitely crank it up while they try to order lol. Plus it would come in handy whenever my neighbor gets drunk and listens to the same cd all day long as loud as his radio will go. I cant wait to drown out the sound of randy travis lmao

Did you not see mine? Thats a sealed 3 cubic foot box with a 15 in it. Only 1. Those zv3s will only do what you want with no less than 3 cubic feet a piece! It sounds like yours is a manual transmission better start thinking blow thru if you absolutly have to use both. I would run just 1.

Yeah its manual,I'll probably run just one for a little bit until i get bored of it. I'll just put the other one in my stepside until i decide if i really wanna run both. I'm curious about how it would look when its finished though,i have a gnarly vision in my mind but no artistic ability to draw it out lol
