I have a 93 k1500 that does not shift out of 1st. I just had the trans rebuilt at the beginning of the year. I’ve replaced both shift solenoids, the internal wiring, and I’ve checked the external wiring harness for cuts and exposed wires. I’m not getting any codes for anything.

If you just had it rebuilt at the start of the year it should still be under some type of warranty. I'd bring it back and have them fix it correctly or at the very least, check the pressures and diagnose the issue(s). If no type of warrenty... Then with a correct diagnosis, let the negotiations begin to get a mutual approved outcome of what to do next.

If you manually shift it, with the shifter, will it shift? When you are in first and the rpm's get to about 3k or so and you let off just a bit, will it shift? Do you still have reverse?

Besides that, test your tps sensor and map sensor. They both have a direct impact on the shifting.

I’ve tried manually shifting and nothing happens. I’ve got up to about 3k rpm and let off slightly and no shift occurs. I have replaced the tps sensor and nothing changed. And I do still have reverse.

How many miles since the rebuild? Did you check your transmission fuse? How is the fluid level and color and smell?

3k since the rebuild, fuse is good, fluid looks good, smells good and it still looks brand new.
Only 3k.... I would definately hold the builder accountable then. Was it a reputable shop that built it or a friend of a friends buddy type of deal? I'd call them in the morning and talk to them calmly. Notice I said talk calmly.... let them know what's going on and tell them(nicely) that you are bringing it or towing it to them. And need it looked at asap.

I was under the assumption that the place was very reputable but I’ve tried calling the place over 10 times in the past month since the problem started and it has been a no answer every time with no call back. I’m so lost on this transmission problem and have no idea what else to try. I had one guy tell the VSS buffer could be the problem but my speedometer works perfectly fine.

It might behoove you to go there and see if they are still in business. No answer and no return call does not bode well. Maybe they had a run of bad rebuilds.

FWIW..........

Get yourself a copy of the Automatic Transmission Service Group {ATSG] Service Manual for the transmission you have.
Also consider the Technicians Diagnostic Guide.

These are the Transmissions Industries Standers Manual.
