I thought there was also a clocking issue with this? I.E. the 2 axle mounting flanges were 45 degrees off of one another.

There is, I'm using two right rotors and placing them at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock on each rotor. That placed bleeder screw on top of each caliper.
I just re-read this, the axle flanges on my diff are not 45 degrees opposed, they are symmetrical. I think the late model axles are opposed. I have seen a picture of one and it is different from the GMT400 4X4 axle.
Could the 88-98 axle be converted to disks as shown here:

I'm assuming the width would be damn close as he uses 88-98 14B SF axles, it would be a huge upgrade to have the 3/4 ton rear brakes and the express van rotors are super easy to come by.
EDIT: This probably isn't any better than the SUV brakes that you did, I think its awesome that you got the 13" rotors to fit, but I'm wondering if this would require any spacers. I believe the 8 lug 14b SF in the NBS trucks shares the same tube/wheel bearing diamater as the obs trucks, unlike the NBS 6 lug 14 bolt that shares the tubes/bearings of a 10b.

Love the wheel choice, May have to purchase some now that I know they'll fit!

I guess the determining factor is the axle flange. If the bolt pattern is the same and it is the same distance from the end of the axle. If so you could use the same spacer that I did and bolt the 8-lug brakes to it. Agreed that it may not be any better, especially when the front brakes do most of the work.

Can you confirm if the backing plates are the same for the 1500 and the 2500/3500 GMT800's? Are the flanges all the same?
