Too large of tires causes the torque convertor to delay propper lock up causing it to burn out the clutches. the output signal from the speed sensor needs to be modified to make it work same as if stock. kind of like if yo were to remove a catalytic convertor from the exhaust. check engine light...
I do have an aftermarket trans cooler but the gear ratio idk. I've had her 2 years now and have not looked into this yet. I do recall the seller mentioning he had changed the rear end and it was bigger than stock (but this may not be true). It is 6 lug wheels. The speedo is way out about 30km=...
Just wondering if anyone has a good link to the dip switch mod that rectifies the transmission speed sensor output? I really dont want to pay $200 US for the Jet Accu-speed 50108 but dont want my trans to slip itself into oblivion and boil to death again. Currently running 325/65R18's and have...
The bigest problem i find is the stock lenses cant pencil down the usefull light it just bounces off the back reflector and goes everywhere blinding everyone. On my other vehicle I purchased a Amazon set of projector lenses for cheap and it now throws light properly like new cars do. Im now...
Just get a lower mile motor from the wrecker and spap over all your stuff. Other than that just new oil and coolant, exh gaskets and spark plugs. Oh and renting a engine picker for the weekend.
Maybe check your trailer wiring if you have it? If not hook up 100amps to it and let the smoke out of it. its a crude way of doing things but it will kill that grounded point/wire and make it easier to now find.
Yes, same np246. I'm thinking they just used a longer shaft up front to compensate for the longer 80e. From what I can see the yoke is same and same u joints. I'll grab a new joint and put it together at work then install it when I get home. A couple thingsI found before I took the my old tcase...
Update and question. New t case is in but front prop shaft (on the old case) wouldn't come out since the yoke is seized in. Is the yoke the same from the 4l80e parts truck. The shaft is not as it is longer but I can't match up the yoke. Can I swap my shaft to the other yoke. I think only the...
Looks like a vacuum actuated valve for your crank case gasses. There's probably a rubber diaphragm inside that's coming apart. Try to open it up and carefully repair it with some black rtv silicone.
Maybe try a hotter thermostat if it seems to be temperature related? 180 I believe is oe. I run a 190 here up north all year. I know people in Alberta switch theirs out between summer and winter but their temps are more extreme. My truck is finicky with the intake air temp, likes to throw codes...
