    AC Delco 41-993 spark plug issues

    41-993s are the completely wrong plugs for a vortec head! The spec'd plug for the 5.7 Vortec is an AC Delco 14, which has a reach of ish 0.70", and the ones you're using have a reach of 0.98" WAY too long. Those Accel p526s should work, but goddamn $25 apiece?? I'd pull the headers to replace...

    Another member posted these short polylocks awhile back, so I bookmarked em for whenever I get around to installing the roller rockers I have sitting on a shelf collecting dust. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cro-86051s-16 According to one of the reviews, they'll clear stock vortec covers.

    I'll do that. The PO said he checked the servo and it was fine, but man, I can't think of what else it could be. Hopefully the band is alright, the PO parked it as soon as it began slipping and I've only driven it in (D) so fingers crossed.
