Best way to prep and paint rusty frame.

I heard spraying used motor oil on your frame. I haven't tried it but my engine cradle doesn't have a spot of rust.....lol

Doesn't look bad. Good job!!! As long as the mounts are good then you won't have a issue with them shopping carts!!!!

HD Headlight Harnesses w/ 4 High Mod

Can you do it for a W/T single headlights and use the high beam to trigger the extra relay for a light bar? But have the light bar switchable so I can run without the light bar if I choose?

    New Engine swap out

Ok guys, decided to go with GM L31 crate engine. The price difference isn't much and it's a NEW engine.

    New Engine swap out

Probably, but I have heard warranty on any crate engine is a pain to get honored if you do the swap yourself. So I prefer the best quality for my money. I'm leaning towards the GM and just running headers and carb. The vortec already makes enough power for daily driving. I can't rebuild the...

    New Engine swap out

I was gonna go with a blueprint engine. But I have to keep in mind how much this truck is worth and also new clutch thrown in. $2,799 Longblock Includes: Oil pan, timing cover, valve covers and individual dyno results $3,199 Dressed Longblock includes: Above plus intake manifold...

    New Engine swap out

Before we get started. I dont want LS motor. So my 94 c2500 with nv4500 is getting close to 300k miles. I will burn 2 quarts of oil every tank. Doing some research it COULD be the valve seals. It could be rings. It smokes all the time but really bad upon hard acceleration So I was looking at...

Looking to run amp wire on passenger side

I ran my wires under the coolant tank. Drilled a nice size hole and put a grommet in it.

    Gear ratio identification

So I went outside. Jacked up one side of the trucks axle. Ten turns to the wheel. Pinion turned 18.65 times. So 18.65 pinion rotations ÷ 10 tire rotations = 1.865 1.865 x 2 (for each side of axle I guess) = 3.73 So I have 3.73 gears. Should of looked while I had the cover off......oh well.

    Gear ratio identification

Unfortunately I just did the diff fluid about 2 weeks ago. I'm trying to find a cam rpm that will work with the gears in it. The ring and pinion looked perfect, but I was hoping for 4.10 gears. Once I get home I'm gonna recount in multiple of tens.

    Gear ratio identification

Sweet!!! I will turn it 10x. More precise than turning 1 time.

    Gear ratio identification

I will give it a shot tomorrow. I re checked it probably 6 times. Even had one of my kids under it counting it. I couldn't believe it. We will try and lift both tires off the ground.
