    The Stupid Interior Questions Thread

Thanks for that, sounds like not an ideal solution. Of course, my searching for used door panels has now led me to an entire truck, which I may just buy. It has a pretty nice interior, the body is straighter than the one I have, the steering column is not a noodle, and it is cheap because the...

    The Stupid Interior Questions Thread

My stupid interior question -- are the door panels from 95 and on a straight swap for 88-94? Assuming both are power window/power lock panels? Because my '89 panels are pretty beat, and I found a pair of 96 panels in good nick. I would need to find matching door handles.

Was it the OEM style, or their ABS plastic one?

    Hi all

Plugged in a new relay, didn't do anything, so I dropped the tank and put in the new fuel pump. Fired right up after, runs good. While the tank was out, I discovered someone cut a hole in the bed floor to get to the fuel pump. There's a sheet of plywood in the bed I have not pulled up. it was...

    89 K1500 restoration

Sweet mother Mary, brother. Throw that junk back together, take 2 weeks off work and drive to Oregon. I am picking up a perfect rust free shortbed 4x4 rolling chassis next weekend, I got it for $300, it's everything less the body, engine and rear driveshaft -- all I want off it are the wheels...

    Hi all

Checked on the fuel issue today. La bomba no bombea. Pulled off the electrical cover, the fuse is good. The relay is, well, there. I could test it, but a new one is $20. I ordered a pump and relay, If I'm keeping this heap for a while I want it to be reliable. I should probably say, I'm...

    1989 C2500

Do you have a volt meter, like a digital VOM? Or a Power Probe? I would recommend some electrical diagnosis. When the truck dies, do not touch the ignition, leave it on. Then try to back probe the connector at the coil (the one from the wiring harness, not the one from the distributor). If...

    Hi all

I finally got some time to work on the free truck this week. Battery was bad, so put in new one. Strong crank but no fire. Checked spark, none. Pulled the dizzy cap, rust city in there. Ordered a new dizzy, coil, plugs and wires, $150. Jeez, Chevy parts are cheap! Installed the new dizzy and...

Who buys a 2wd Sub in Michigan? It's nice, but it would never sell where I live.

    Hi all

Apparently I need to do a bunch of sh*tposting to hit some level before I can post in the parts wanted forum, so if you have a good steering column that will work in an '89 K2500, feel free to PM me. Tony

    Hi all

Just picked up an '89 K2500 for a great price - free. Has about 220k on the 5.7, might need a transmission per the previous owner. Going to get it running and decide what is next. The truck is arrow straight except the driver door (bent because the latch is bad and its been kicked shut), the...
