How much oil pressure is too much?
I just picked up an '89 GMC Sierra running a 5.7L with A.I.R. It has the "moonie" style gauges, but no red-line for low oil pressure. The guy I bought it from said it runs about 42 psi (which, it did...
Last May, I got the old Cheyenne stuck 10 miles from asphalt, up on an old logging road. My brother and I were exploring the old trails across the valley and I decided to turn back at the bottom of a very steep and muddy hill (thinking, 'I'm screwed now.')
Well, we were able to make it up...
I'm getting an '89 GMC and I plan on swapping the grille to the Cheyenne-W/T style with the 5" × 7" glass headlights. If you want the grille and lights, you can have them if you cover shipping.
Make sure you disconnect the ground strap located near the fuel filler door. I neglected to do that when I swapped an '88 bed onto my '94. I was able to use the one from '94 which was still intact, but it's just an unnecessary step that you shouldn't have to deal with.
Were you referring to the projector when you said they were designed for LEDs? Is there a problem with putting LEDs into "plug and play" housings? I'm a little confused.
I understand. I'm on a very limited budget, so I figured this might work to improve the lighting, as I couldn't see worth anything using the factory lights (not to mention that the glass fell off the original as soon as I removed the retaining ring).
