I replaced all of the lifters Friday and Saturday with a set of Morel 7717 lifters. Fired it up Saturday evening and no more ticking! Pulled the intake to start disassembly of the top end. Went ahead and test fitted my Whipple while the intake was off to see what kind of clearance issues I should expect. Looks like it will be pretty simple to sort out thankfully!- Stepside_fever95

The thing is though, I've put 12,000 miles on this engine with all new valvetrain (rockers, rocker bearings, springs, lifters, etc.), and it just started making the ticking a couple weeks ago before I quit driving it. Do you have upgraded trunnion bearings in the rockers? I changed the oil and had a few cylinders ticking for a few minutes after starting. It got quiet except for the one tick I've been hearing. Definitely valvetrain related.- Stepside_fever95

Not a whole lot of updates. The Suburban has developed a ticking noise in or around the engine. I have unplugged each coil pack and injector while running, and the ticking still remains. Jeremy Rogers with Cunningham Machine produces the sleeves. They're very nice. I'm also running their rag joint delete steering shaft that uses u joints instead. The route i took definitely beats reaming out knuckles for the ball joints and flipping tie rod ends using GMT800 knuckles.- Stepside_fever95

Got the Astro knuckle and GMT900 brake swap done this past week. What a difference in stopping distance! Everything was bolt on with no modifications neccesary. I do highly reccomend getting an alignment afterwards as it threw my caster off and caused a death wobble. I used stoptech stainless...- Stepside_fever95

The one mustang I ran did a 2.38 60' I still need to make it to a 1/4 mile track and see how it does. I'd love to break into the 13's, but we'll see. Thankfully it hooks going around the water box! I finally made it to test and tune without it being cancelled due to rain. My best time in the 1/8th mile was a 8.85 with a 1.999 60' which was quicker than the 3 5.0 Coyote Mustangs that were running tonight (8.90s-9.20s).
