That's not a bad idea, my only issue at the moment is I have absolutely no idea which model I have to even find a manual for it lol. I'll have to take a pic of the module and see if I can read a number off of it, unless I can find the book for it somewhere. I'll try that tomorrow also
I looked everywhere last night for a relay coming off the alarm module, the only place I didn't check was inside the actual door yet so I'll have to look there tomorrow when I have time to take the panel off. And as for the manual switch on the doors they have full strength unlocking and locking...
So on my 98 ecsb k1500. 4 years ago I bypassed the factory keyless and installed a viper alarm myself. For 3 years it's been perfect. About a year ago the key fobs will only unlock the doors and disarm. But when you arm it, it doesn't lock the doors. You can hit the lock switch on either door...
Yeah I went back to the OE style one I had but brand new, its listed as a 1.125" bore which is 1-1/8. It stops perfect now. It's soft but it's always been soft on these abs trucks. Everything is brand new now and I have a lot more knowledge of hydraulics than when I started this crap a month...
Also just to verify when I'm bench bleeding a master cylinder, the OEM style 1-1/8 one, every time I bleed this style the primary port spits fluid straight up out of the reservoir like a solid stream. Every single one I've bled. Is that normal? All my reman cylinders did the same thing but it...
My soft pedal was a combination of the 3/4 ton caliper upgrade requiring more fluid to push than my master cylinder could deliver, and my rear shoes being completely thinned and sitting off the wheel cylinders. With everything replaced and ive already adjusted them properly. its different than...
Pretty much what ive gathered is all the upgrades suck. As far as Oem style m/c theres a 1" and 1-1/8". Im assuming mine already had the bigger of the two being an extended cab.
I understand entirely what you're saying, the biggest issue is no one states this on any of the "quick brake upgrade" posts and throw people into the problems blindly. You have to go 15 pages into a post to find this kind of information or get lucky someone like you responds. i already figured...
Yes bottom two are m/c inlets and the top right is rear out, top left two are front outs. I'm about to call it a day and pull the module out and run my own proportioning valve. I'm done with this bs
