bought them on ebay for like 20 bucks it’s only the sticker part. also got new red pinstripe to redo the old yellow. and painted the bow tie and tow hooks red lol

Just got this random idea and gave it a try. Looks decent imo. Matches the chrome on the truck like the wheel trim the bumpers and grill. Not sure if i would purchase these badges but i get them for free from work. (Chevy dealership) I also have the guide thing to line it up and evenly space it...

I mean it’s adequate for third gear. It’s not gonna slow down with a 8 thousand pound trailer but it will hold the truck at a steady speed down hills and it will slow me down on less severe hills and flat land so long as i’m not super loaded up. But yes it’s definitely noticeable as compared to...

So i went and tested it again. 2nd DEFINITELY does not engine brake at all. it coasts better than 3rd. However the low band does engage because it engine brakes in first. So one thing i’m possible looking at is the 1-2 servo/ the seal for it. It could have possibly been knicked when it was...

I went pretty slow when testing this. shouldn’t have been going to fast especially considering it actually did drop to second. it just goes to idle if i’m not on the gas. the owners manual tells you to downshift to decend hills if you are well loaded up. no headlight chimes.

Yeah i tow car trailers and frequently have excess of 2000 pounds in the bed. the area i live in has a lot hills and i’d prefer not to have my brake drums smoking the whole way down. i’m also not worried about wear on my transmission. it’s built to do this. if it wears out… i’ll just rebuild it lol.
