96 C2500 dies after 10 minutes then never starts..

So I am willing to bet that his ECU is having issues. Connected a scanner, no data available. OBD port has 12 volts coming through the power pin. (Bottom right hand pin)

96 C2500 dies after 10 minutes then never starts..

Hey all! I am actually posting this for my neighbor. He has a 96 C2500 ECLB with the 350. He bought it cheap with a blown motor, put another one in it, got it running. Well a couple of times it would randomly cut off, then start right back up. Now, it only runs for about 10 minutes after letting...

Best over the counter oil for 1994 stock 350 tbi flat tappet

In my 94 with a edelbrock 3702 flat tappet cam I run Castrol GTX conventional, and use lucas zinc additive. Haven't had a problem yet.

    Leak under passenger side dash

Recently dealt with this issue myself on my 94. It was all of the blend doors as @east302 posted. I had to remove the dash to get that box out and replace all of the doors with new ones. Worked great ever since. Only thing is, you have to decide on if pulling the dash is worth it. Because...

    New Injectors, now runs bad

Hey all! If you guys remember one of my previous posts from awhile ago I was trying to chase a random shake/miss? at idle, and extended crank time before start. Otherwise ran fine. Well, alot of parts and sensors have been replaced. 94 C1500 TBI 350 IAC Knock sensor TPS TBI Rebuild New Delco...

At my wits end.. Looking for any idea.

Hahaha! The delco parts I got came from different areas. The fuel pump came from Brazil, and the o2 sensor came straight from Japan. (JDM spec GMT400 now? XD)

Alright guys. I know it's been some time. However, I finally got the new cam and everything installed and broke in. Ran great for awhile and then died again. Come to find out the reason it was dying was a cruddy orileys fuel pump that I had put into the truck a month prior to all the work...

Well fellas. I checked the fuel pressure and it was at 11PSI. Checked and changed a few more things and nothing seemed to make a difference. Well while I was letting it run I was around back just listening to the exhaust and i noticed a weird puff kind of sound. Decided to do the 'dollar bill'...

I'll try another ICM and see what happens.

So it definitely is fuel related. Had my dad look at the TBI while cranking and it wasn't spraying anything out of the injectors. Plugged in a new fuel pump relay, ran for about 30 seconds then died again. Checked the fuse. Fuse looks okay however dad removed it and plugged it back in and said...

Welp. Checked a few things everything seemed fine. Figured I'd do new plugs wires, cap and rotor instead of the cheapo orilley stuff. Went to do a driving log and then at the end of the log the truck dies on me and wont start again. No idea why again. Figured I'd share the log here and see if...

I had just responded when you replied. As far as the ICM. I have tried both the original and a new one with no difference. And to piggyback on what I posted yesterday, it never had an o2 code till I unplugged it when I was troubleshooting. It actually has a new o2 sensor in it that i changed...

So I just did a compression test. All of the cylinders are well within spec. Lowest was 168. Highest was 185. As far as the bin file. None was selected. But the XDF file was 0D_TPV5_v250.xdf if that explains anything. The ECM is 7427

Understood. When it was cold it idled ok. But when the idle finally came down. It had the typical miss. It's not a constant miss but itll run smooth then shake a time or two and then ok and shake again. I'd say roughly every 3 seconds or so. And it takes a little longer for it to crank than...

The stored codes are from when I unhooked them when trying to do some troubleshooting. So those are just retained from my doings. As far as knock count I'm not sure as I was testing it before with a wrench and tapping on the side to make sure it got voltage. Unless it starts at zero each time I...
