Stalling, Rough running, Rough shifts threw 22 code, replaced TPS no fix. Ideas?

I didn’t see that you checked the fuel pressure. Low or marginal fuel pressure will cause all sorts of problems. There is no sensor or code if the fuel pressure is low. It’s a common problem on older trucks and something to verify before chasing other problems.

Long crank and dies on cold start

They say 10psi is within spec. That said, I had a cold start idle problem once with pump ~a year old from Autozone. I couldn’t figure it out and checked fuel pressure. It was 10psi but I noticed it dropped a bit when I blipped throttle. Assumed it was ok and chased my tail trying to fix the...

Long crank and dies on cold start

Curious - what do you call “good”? And where did you check it?

Engine Idles Unevenly and Almost Stalls When Cold

on mine it’s in the exhaust manifold on driver side and easy to reach from top. You’d need to check if yours has one or two on both sides. It takes a wrench which fits the hex on it, I don’t remember the size. A normal open ended wrench might round off the nut/hex on it if it’s hard to remove...

Engine Idles Unevenly and Almost Stalls When Cold

@Schurkey and @Road Trip great responses and explanation. Thanks for taking the time to share, I learned some new info. I would agree next step is to replace the O2. Even if not the culprit/only culprit it’s time to check it off the list. Easy enough to DIY, or at least see if it comes out ok...

Engine Idles Unevenly and Almost Stalls When Cold

Interesting, I didn’t know that. I’ve used the field service mode to see if it was in open or closed loop before I got TunerPro but didn’t realized the dwell of the flash meant anything. As was mentioned somewhere above, the light flashing fast or slow only tells you whether its in open loop...

    Suggestions/ideas for 93 Suburban headliner?

Mine is a single piece of fabric for the whole thing. I thought about trying to put a seam between the rear which is all good and the windshield area but decided that would be probably be more of a pain than trying to do the whole thing

Tunerpro log - rough cold start 1995 7.4L

Interesting thread. Well, interesting if you’re not the one struggling with the problem. I have a 93, could find the details on bins and pcm if needed. Mine definitely stays in CL on hot idle. I had problem once where it was dropping out of CL on hot idle and causing me to fail emissions. O2...

Engine Idles Unevenly and Almost Stalls When Cold

Always good to have a known good O2 sensor. if you want some confidence on whether the O2 is a contributor check whether problem only occurs in open loop goes away in closed loop. If problem is occurring in open loop only it’s not likely caused by O2 sensor. The O2 is only used for afm after...

Engine Idles Unevenly and Almost Stalls When Cold

can be a lot of things, hard to say without scanner or codes. That said, I had similar once which was low/marginal fuel pressure. No codes, hunted forever and finally downloaded TunerPro and invested in learning how to look at data. I found that the save from a near stall was an idle...

    Suggestions/ideas for 93 Suburban headliner?

Thanks for responses. I think it’d require a lot of magnets to save my headliner at this point df2x4! perhaps best approach is to do it right, figure out how to get the whole thing removed, take to someone to redo. Seems like trying to do something like this half-a’d often ends up more work...

    Suggestions/ideas for 93 Suburban headliner?

Hi, I have a 93 Suburban I bought new and it’s lived its life in the Tucson desert heat, mostly parked outside. Upside is nothing rusts, downside is the heat takes its toll on paint, fabric, plastics, etc. The headliner by the windshield is falling apart. It just falls apart if touched. The...

Bouncy Idle, Eventually Dies 94 Chevy Pickup

A clogged fuel filter could cause low fuel pressure. I assume the fuel filter would have been replaced at same time as fuel pump and if so, at that point it’s easy to check fuel pressure as lines are open to put in the pressure fitting. Just good practice. I’ve read on these forums that some...

Check your fuel pressure. I had similar once and it was marginal fuel pressure
